National Technical Honor
Society
The NTHS is a non-profit, educational organization
established to honor excellence in career and technical education. The purpose of the NTHS includes:
Membership Criteria Membership is open to all 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. The criterion is rigorous and focuses on several components including student academics, character and leadership. Student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all courses. (Academic) Student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 for all CTE courses. (Academic) Student must have passed* a minimum of 4 different CTE courses. (Academic) One of the four courses must be an advanced, level 2 "completer " course.Student must have no discipline referrals or suspensions. (Character) Student must be active in student government, a career-technical student organization or some other civic or community-based service organization. (Leadership) Student must secure a nomination for membership from a member of the school faculty, staff or administration. * Students who have passed at least 3 different CTE courses and are currently taking or enrolled to take a fourth course are eligible.
