NHCS Announces Several School and Class Relocations in the Aftermath of Hurricane Florence

 

Several New Hanover County schools and some classes are being relocated to other school sites due to the damage of some NHCS buildings caused by Hurricane Florence. Parents should contact their student’s school for specific questions and concerns. The schools/classes relocations are as follows:


College Park Elementary School - to begin classes for students on Monday, October 8, 2018.

  • College Park students in grades Kindergarten - 3rd will go to Castle Hayne Elementary School located at 3925 Roger Haynes Dr., Castle Hayne.
  • College Park 4th and 5th grade students will attend Holly Shelter Middle School located at 3921 Roger Haynes Dr., Castle Hayne.
  • College Park Specially Designed Academics (self-contained SDA) class to attend Castle Hayne Elementary.
  • These changes will remain in effect for College Park Elementary until further notice.

Castle Hayne Elementary Schools - to begin classes for students on Thursday, October 4, 2018.

  • Castle Hayne Elementary 5th grade students will attend Holly Shelter Middle School.

Mary C. Williams Elementary School - to begin classes for students on Thursday, October 4, 2018.

  • All students from M.C. Williams Elementary will attend Codington Elementary School located at 4321 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington.
  • Approximate end date for Williams at Codington is Friday, October 12, 2018 (last day of intersession break for year-round schools)

International School at Gregory - to begin classes for students on Thursday, October 4, 2018.

  • All students from Gregory will attend classes at Snipes Academy located at 2150 Chestnut Street, Wilmington.
  • Approximate end date for Gregory at Snipes is Friday, October 12, 2018 (last day of Intercession break for year-round schools).
