D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy Plans Grand Opening Celebration

WHAT:
D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy will host a grand opening celebration to launch the new middle school with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Virgo Principal Eric Irizarry, faculty, and students welcome Virgo families and community members to be a part of this momentous occasion. Members of the New Hanover County Board of Education, D. C. Virgo Advisory Board, and Blue Ribbon Commission Board have been invited to attend. Rev. Clifford Barnett, Sr., D. C. Virgo Advisory Board Member and Senior Pastor of Warner Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, will be the guest speaker. A reception will follow the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy is New Hanover County Schools’ eighth middle school. The New Hanover County Blue Ribbon Commission to Prevent Youth Violence is an ongoing partner, helping to guide the school and bridge community support.
