New Hanover County Schools' Students Win State Young Authors Contest

Sixteen New Hanover County Schools' students were selected from thousands of participants as state winners of North Carolina Reading Association's (NCRA) 2013 Young Authors Project. These students, along with their families, will be honored at the NCRA Young Authors Celebration on March 9th at the Civic Center in Raleigh.

This year's topic, "Play that Game," provided students the opportunity to write about games that matter to them using different genres, including poetry and prose, for a wide audience. Each winning entry will be included in the 2013 Young Authors' Anthology publication.
