Installing NCDesk on your home computer:

1.      Go the Control Panel on your computer and uninstall earlier versions of JRE.

2.      Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 8 . First SAVE the file to your desktop, then run from there.
The JRE update will run setup, which will take a few minutes. Be patient and select the default choices when you are prompted.

3.      Install NCDesk.

4.      Update NCDesk after the installation and when prompted.

5.      You will be asked to restart NCDesk. Click on the icon on your desktop to restart.

6.      Choose regular or large font to start NCDesk.

***If your computer tells you that there is a JAVA conflict, do the following:

1.      Right click on the NCDesk shortcut on your desktop and select Properties.

2.      Replace (copy & paste) the Target string with the following:
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_08\bin\javaw.exe" -jar "C:\Program Files\NCDesk\ncdesk.jar"

3.      Start NCDesk again.
