• David Pugh - Interim Principal

    Dr. Pugh worked as a secondary school administrator for over 35 years. He spent most of his professional career in Cumberland County, N.C.and also worked as a high school principal in South Carolina for 7 years. He completed his undergraduate work at Wake Forest University and finished his graduate degrees in school administration at UNC-Chapel Hill and East Carolina University. Dr. Pugh enjoys all sports and spending time at the beach.

  • Glen Locklear - Assistant Principal

    Mr. Locklear is a native of Laurinburg, NC. He earned a BA in Secondary Social Studies Education from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1994 and a MA in School Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2008. Before coming to Ashley in the fall of 2011, Mr. Locklear served as a teacher, coach, and athletic director at high schools in Scotland, Caswell, and Guilford Counties. Mr. Locklear is married to his wife Crystal and the proud father of two boys, Coen and Caden.

  • Stephanie Bartlett - Assistant Principal

    Ms. Bartlett earned her Bachelor of Arts in English, magna cum laude, with honors in English, in 1996, and her Master of School Administration in 2004 from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She has served EAHS as an assistant principal since the facility opened in 2001. Prior to her administrative experience, she was an English teacher and Curriculum Coordinator at high schools in New Hanover County.

  • Roy Turner - Athletic Director

    Mr. Turner is the athletic director at Ashley High School in Wilmington, North Carolina, is very involved at the state level with the NCADA (NC Athletic Directors Association) and national level with the NIAAA (National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association). Prior to assuming his current position in Wilmington, Turner was athletic director at Southeast Guilford High School and Dudley High School in Greensboro. Roy has hosted numerous sectional and regional events for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) and served as chairperson of the NCHSAA Sectional Basketball Committee.
