Janice A. Cavenaugh
Personal Data:

Janice Cavenaugh is a North Carolina native.  She is married and has two daughters and two granddaughters.  Janice graduated with a BA in Speech and Communications from UNC-Wilmington.  She is a real estate appraiser.  She has served on the school board for 13 years. While on the board, she served two terms as chairman and one term as vice chairman.  She has served on the Policy Committee, Finance Committee, Teacher of the Year Committee, Calendar Committee, Human Relations Commission, as well as numerous other assignments.
 
Terms of Office:
  • Served on the Board from 1987-1998
  • Elected to serve a four-year term from 2002-2006
  • Re-elected to serve a four-year term from 2006-2010
