Voting Information

Voters in New Hanover County will answer the question, “What kind of facilities do we want for our children?” when they cast their vote on Tuesday, November 4, and decide whether the county may use $160 million in bond funding to pay for a new school, replace two schools, renovate various schools, technology updates at all schools, as well as safety and security improvements at all schools.

Residents of New Hanover County may vote if they are 18 years of age or older by the day of election, and have registered to vote at least 25 days prior to the election.  REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10TH.

Early voting already has begun with absentee ballots. The shortened period to vote early in person begins Oct. 23 and ends at 1 p.m. Nov. 1. There is no Sunday voting, and hours will vary.

Polls will be open from 6:30am to 7:30pm.
