HSMS Science Olympiad Team competed along side of 70 schools from the southeast region in events from health science, biology, physics, earth science, space, forensic science, environmental science, engineering, to botany.

FOR Club students went to Norish NC

FOR Club's went to Nourish NC and Good Shepherd House. They sorted food and packaged boxes for families dealing with poverty. Then delivered socks and toiletries to the Good Shepherd House.

Lacee Marcum, Shania Spicer, Abby Mendoza ,Olivia Hansen, Jade Nobles, Trista Outlaw, Fisher Tinga, Andres Herzberg, Trey Buckingham and Tyler Piccolo participated in the the New Hanover County All-County Band!

Ms.Le's class participated in some 100th day of school activities by making groups of 10 with snacks and making necklaces with 100 fruit loops.

On Saturday, Jan. 13, six HSMS band students traveled to Greenville NC to audition against 700 other students for a spot in the Eastern All-District Band!  Lucas Carpenter, Trista Outlaw, Aidan Swivel, Trey Buckingham, Fisher Tinga, and Tyler Piccolo.

Trey Buckingham earned 1st Chair Concert band in the Eastern All-District Band!  He will travel to the campus of ECU in February to participate in the All-District Clinic and Concert!

As part of the "Subaru Loves Learning" initiative, we received science related texts to inspire the next generation.
