Permanent, full-time employees
are covered by the State
Retirement System. Employees
contribute 6% of their monthly
salary before taxes. Once
an employee meets certain age
and service requirements, they
are eligible for a monthly
retirement benefit.

Death Benefit - Permanent,
full-time employees who die
while in active service after
one year as a contributing
member to the State Retirement
System are covered by a death
benefit equal to the employee's
salary during a 12 month period
(minimum of $25,000 to a maximum
of $50,000).

Traditional and Roth 401K
options are available through
payroll deduction for those
employees participating in the
State Retirement System.
