There is a
temporary freeze of Substitute hiring
effective Friday March 6, 2009
until further notice.
Current
Substitutes
We are
opening an opportunity for our current substitutes to sign up to
substitute in our Afterschool Program beginning with the 2009-2010 school
year.
If you would like to become eligible to substitute for our Afterschool
Program, you must complete a 7 hour workshop (class information below).
The Afterschool program is ongoing during the traditional school year as
well as with our year-round schools.
The pay rate
for subbing in the Afterschool program will be $34.50 per day
(click here for all rates for subs). There are
currently 10 schools that have Afterschool programs: Alderman, Anderson,
Bellamy, Carolina Beach, Codington, Eaton, Forest Hills, Howe Pre-K,
Murrayville, and Ogden. The standard hours of operation for the
Afterschool Program is 2:30 pm-6:00 pm.
This
workshop is a great opportunity for all substitutes that work for New
Hanover County Schools.
