bulletWhat is Senior Project?

bulletIt has four components: a research paper, a product, a presentation, and a portfolio.
bulletIt represents a significant percent of their final grade for English IV. 
bulletThe Senior Project is performance based and adaptable to most topics of interest.
bulletAn Advisory Board at each school approves/disapproves topics and handles any project dilemmas.

 

Students must complete all four components--research paper, product, portfolio, and formal presentation--to receive credit for English IV.

bulletThe Senior Project empowers seniors to use their talents, skills, and creativity to demonstrate what they know and showcase their achievement in a final presentation.

bulletWhat has to be done for Senior Project?

bulletWrite a research paper.  This is a student-driven research paper that is centered on a student-chosen thesis and research topic.
bulletDevelop a product related to the paper. The product is a showcase of the application of life, personal and interpersonal, academic, and problem-solving skills.
bulletDesign and compile a portfolio.  The portfolio documents the student's Senior Project journey.
bulletDeliver a formal presentation. This speech is delivered to a board of judges selected from faculty and community members.
