Isaac Bear Student Competes in
Intel International Science and Engineering Fair

Kevin Frink completed his competition at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Pittsburgh, PA the week of May 13-18, 2012. He had the great thrill of presenting his science project to Nobel laureate Dr. John Mather of NASA.
Over 1500 students competed from at least 60 countries -- it is an experience of a life time.
By all accounts he had fantastic time, and he won a third place award in the Physics category and a special award from NASA. He was also awarded an all expenses paid trip to Taiwan to compete in another International Science Fair, which will occur next February.  The photo taken by Mrs. Judy Day of NCSU is of Carolin Lachner of Germany and Kevin accepting their K.T. Li Foundation awards associated with their upcoming trip to Taiwan.  The entire North Carolina delegation did great!  Our state has a lot to be proud of.
Way to go Kevin!!
