Look I'm driving!

DRIVERS ED INFO

For all students enrolled in the Driver Education classes:

  • At least one parent must attend a meeting in the cafeteria. The New Hanover County Director of Drivers Education will meet to discuss the New Hanover County Driver Education Program.
  • The Department of Motor Vehicles will send a representative to administer the eye test portion of the "Temporary Permit".
  • Each student must have this permit completely filled out and signed by a parent and returned on the date of the eye test.

 

  • Summer 2008 Driver Education

    Registration for both sessions: April 15th-May 15th
    1st Session
    Class List 7 am
    Class List 10:30 am
    2nd Session
    Class List 7 am
    Class List 10:30 am


  • E. A. Laney Registration/Permission Form


    First Session:
    Parent Meeting June 16th, 6pm in cafeteria.
    Classes June 17th-30th
    Driving times will be discussed at parental meeting.
    Classroom teacher will call with classroom assignments.

    Second Session:
    Parent Meeting July 16th, 6pm in cafeteria
    Classes July 17th-July 30th
    Driving times will be discussed at parental meeting.
    Classroom teacher will call with classroom assignments.

    **Classes will be ten days for three hours per day starting at 7am and 10:30am
    **Driving times to be given by individual instructors.
    **All students will not finish driving in the ten day period.

STUDENTS MUST HAVE

  • Parent Present
  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • Glasses or Contacts
  • Copy of your last semester report card

**Also inform your driving instructor of any special needs (504’s etc.) when they call.
