Attention seniors:

Next week is CFNC College Application Week.  Your counselors will be in Computer Lab 126 during November 17-20 to assist you in applying for colleges online using the CFNC website.  Please stop by the counselors’ office to sign up for a time slot and get further instructions if you would like to take advantage of this opportunity.

 

Gramercy Prep, the private SAT prep program based out of New York City, is now providing private SAT tutoring in your home.  If interested see your school counselor or call (910) 465-9445.

 

Any senior who plans to graduate at mid term time needs to see their counselor as soon as possible.

 

Any student in a junior homeroom who plans to graduate in June needs to see their counselor as soon as possible.

Laney CTE is collecting donations of clothing, books and all household items for their Fall Bazaar Yard Sale on November 7th.  Donations can be brought in daily to Room 108 before or after school.  Thank you for your support!

The E. A. Laney HS AFJROTC is selling "Flags4Vets" lapel pins for $10.00. With the purchase of a lapel pin a veteran's grave will be marked in Oakdale Cemetery with an American Flag to honor their service. Contact Lt Col Green for more information. Checks should be made out to “Laney High School.”

 

Did you know that car crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers? Look for SAVE members in the parking lot tomorrow on National SAVE Day. They will be giving out tips on how to become a safe driver.  Pay attention...it could save your life.


Peer Mediation is looking for some new mediators! If interested, come get an application from Ms. Scheirer in Room 111C. Applications are due by Friday November 6th.

Attention Seniors: Bring order forms and payment for Senior shirts to room 108 by November 9th.

All Prom Committee Members please bring your candy sale money to Room 218.  All prom committee members need to see Mrs. Sterken or Mrs. Metz before next Tuesday, Nov 10th.

 

Congratulations to the J. V. cheerleaders on their 1st place win in the Cape Fear Fair Expo Tuesday night. The team received a trophy and $150.

 

Congratulations to the dance team for their 1st place win in the Cape Fear Fair Expo Tuesday Night. The dancers received a trophy and $150. A special thanks and recognition to the step team for an excellent opening performance for the Expo also.

 

All HOSA members participating with the Beach2Battleship triathlon Saturday night are reminded of our brief meeting today after school in room 124!!!
