Lori Jean Williams Memorial Scholarship Recipients

Lori Jean Williams, a deceased 1983 graduate of Laney High School, exemplified the true spirit of a Buccaneer.  While a student here at Laney, she was a member of the cheerleading squad, pom pom squad and Student Government.  Even though not a member of other clubs, she was supportive of them all.

Her love for Laney was most evident in her continued efforts to make the institution a better place.  Even after graduation, Lori returned to Laney as a volunteer, working with both the pom pom squad and varsity basketball team.

The many talents she possessed, the enthusiasm she exhibited and the natural zest for life was shared unselfishly with all she encountered.

In order to keep this spirit alive, we, the family and friends of Lori J. Williams have established this memorial scholarship in her memory.
