May 2008

  1. Seniors wishing to apply for the Michael Jordan Scholarship are invited to pick up applications from Mrs. Williams or Coach Lynch. Applications are due back to Mrs. Williams by Friday, May 16.
  2. Applications are also available for the Marie Harris Memorial Scholarship.  Students must return applications to Mrs. Williams or to Mrs. Price by May 20th.
  3. Any student who has played ball with the Cape Fear Optimist Club (including T-ball) is invited to apply for their $500 scholarship.  Applications are in the guidance office and must be postmarked by June 1.
  4. The Laney PTSA President’s Award is a $500 scholarship open to seniors who are MEMBERS of Laney’s PTSA.  Applications are in the main office.
  5. The Lori Jean Williams Scholarship applications are also in the guidance office and are due back to Mrs. Williams by Friday, May 16.
  6. The Future Black Men of America Scholarship awards a laptop computer to 30 outstanding young African-American men.  Due date for applications is June 1.
