Several Men’s Basketball players from Laney High School were recently recognized as all-area athletes by the Wilmington Star News.  Kadeem Allen was named on the First Team.  Kadeem Allen plays the guard position and is a Junior at Laney.  His statistics average 14 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game, 3.2 steals per game. Allen was referred to as a Do-it-all guard that led the Bucs to its first Brogden Holiday Tournament championship. 

            Other players recognized were Elijah Wilson, Guard, who is also a Junior.  He was named to the Second Team all-area Team.  Kyle Wilson, Senior, who plays the forward position, received an honorable mention.  The following were named as All-Mideastern Conference players:  Elijah Wilson, Kadeem Allen, Devan Coley. Congratulations to all of these young men on their outstanding athletic accomplishments!
