Announcement: This is Lisa Estep, New Hanover County Board of Education Member and Liaison to ACES, Advisory Council for Exceptional Students.  I am excited to announce that ACES is holding its first Parent Forum of 2017 on March 9th from 6 to 8 pm at the Board of Education Center at 1805 S. 13th St. Our focus for this Forum will be transitions; specifically, transition planning and services at all levels from pre-k through an E.C. student's post-secondary life.  Our keynote speaker will be Julie Askew, Director of Special Ed Services for New Hanover County Schools, and there will be a parent survey and answer session. There will also be time to visit our resource tables, where many of our community partners will be available to answer questions about programs and services.  There will also be an opportunity to interact with students and parents who are currently being served through the Division of Special Education.  So please make plans to join us on March 9th from 6-8 pm.  Thank you for your time and have a wonderful evening. Thank you!
