The mission of New Hanover County Schools, in collaboration with our parents and the community, is to strive to provide children an excellent education in a safe and positive learning environment where they are prepared with the critical skills to reach their full potential for a world yet to be imagined. “Reach, Equip, Achieve”

Vision

The vision of the New Hanover County schools is to:

• Have high expectations for all students. These expectations will be supported by improved test scores;

• Have equity at all schools regarding facilities, services and staffing;

• Ensure all students are actively engaged in meaningful learning and experiences;

• Provide state-of-the-art technology throughout the system being fully utilized by students and staff;

• Use data to inform and drive decisions regarding curriculum, instruction, and assessment;

• Provide students diverse educational opportunities: academic, and career - technical

• Partner and communicate with businesses, civic, faith-based organizations, parents and the community at large to enhance educational opportunities for children.
