New Hanover County Schools' Teacher Assistants Receive Scholarships

Two New Hanover County Schools' teacher assistants, Janna Hudgins, from College Park Elementary School, and Alex Ostapiej, from Lake Forest Academy, were recently awarded the New Hanover County Board of Education Certificate Level Scholarship.

The purpose of these scholarships is to provide financial assistance to individuals who hold a four-year college degree in an area other than education and desire to become fully certified as teachers, counselors, administrators or other professional educators.
