NHCS Announce the Fourth Annual Health-O-Rama

Through the coordinated efforts between New Hanover County Schools (NHCS) and the New Hanover County Health Department, NHCS is pleased to announce the schedule for the Fourth Annual Health-O-Rama event. This event is a day of health information, screenings, and referrals at each New Hanover County elementary and middle school. Screenings available include vision, hearing, and dental and are given in the following grades:

Vision: Conducted in 1st, 3rd and 6th grades, under the supervision of a school nurse.

Hearing: Speech-language pathologists, under the guidance of an audiologist, conducted in 1st, 3rd and 6th grades.

Dental: Performed by a dental hygienist for kindergarten and 5th grades.

The 2008-2009 Health-O-Rama schedule is as follows:
