Laney High School Hosts
Gang Awareness Information Session
WHAT:
Laney High School will host the first of four Gang Awareness
Information Sessions planned for the 2008-09 school year.
The session is open to the general public and no
pre-registration is required. Detective J.P. Guarino and
Michelle Guarino, Gang Therapist, from the New Hanover County
Sheriff's Office, will conduct the training. Detective Guarino
will present Gangs 101, which addresses gang awareness and ways
to combat the problem and Ms. Guarino will address the
psychology behind gangs, prevention, intervention and diversion.
