New Hanover County Schools Superintendent Presents Art Awards

Dr. Alfred Lerch, Superintendent of New Hanover County Schools, honors four New Hanover County students as recipients of the 2008 Superintendent’s Choice Art Awards.

Dr. Lerch selects the artwork from four grade categories, Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12. He chooses the artwork with no knowledge of the students’ names, teachers, or schools. The winning artwork will be on display for one year at the New Hanover County Schools’ administration office located at 6410 Carolina Beach Road. The winners will be honored at a breakfast with the Superintendent on April 22, 2008 at 7:45 a.m. at the Spencer Quality Development Center, 1802 South 15th Street.

Recipients of the 2008 Superintendent’s Choice Art Awards are as follows:

Elementary, K-2 Logan Francisco
Holly Tree Elementary School

Elementary, 3-5 Sarah Harris
Wrightsville Beach Elementary School
