Present
19th Annual Best Foot Forward
New Hanover County Schools proudly
present the nineteenth annual BEST FOOT FORWARD
Performance on Friday, March 28, 2008, at 7:30 p.m., in
New Hanover High School’s Brogden Hall. Over 600 of New Hanover
County’s brightest and most talented students will showcase the
curriculum through dance, drama, and music. The Best Foot
Forward program features 20 spectacular performances integrating
special effects and uplifting music from pre-kindergarten,
elementary, middle, and high schools.
An impressive visual arts exhibit, highlighting works from all
grade levels, will be displayed throughout the lobby of Brogden
Hall. Early spectators will be entertained by the All-County
High School Orchestra under the direction of Roy Robuck and
Philip Singleton, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Master of Ceremonies for this year’s show will be Jon Evans.
Producers are Georgeann Haas, Arts Education Supervisor and
Aaron Oliver, NHCS-TV Coordinator. Artistic Director is Johannes
Bron and Technical Directors are Benjamin Horrell and Shelia
Bron.
General admission tickets for the show are $7 each and are
available for purchase at the New Hanover County Schools Public
Relations Office, located at 1802 South 15th Street. Students
may also place a ticket order at their school.
Proceeds from Best Foot Forward will endow a scholarship fund to
assist children to attend summer enrichment camps.
This year's program has been made possible by support of
Richardson Orthodontics, Carolina Sports Medicine, Time-Warner
Cable, Rippy Automotive, AT&T, Intracoastal Realty, Simply Play,
and Toyota of Wilmington.
