Carolina Chocolate Drops Concert

WHAT: Carolina Chocolate Drops Concert

WHEN: Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Snipes Academy of Arts and Design, 2150 Chestnut Street

ADMISSION: Admission is free. Donations will be gratefully accepted and will benefit the Snipes Academy PTA, the Noble Middle School CHOICES program, and the New Hanover County Council of PTAs scholarship fund.

Editor's Note:
The Carolina Chocolate Drops is a group of young African-American stringband musicians that have come together to play the rich tradition of fiddle and banjo music. The ensemble draws its musical heritage from the foothills of the North and South Carolina in Carolinas’ Piedmont. Rhiannon Giddens and Justin Robinson both hail from the green hills of the North Carolina Piedmont while Dom Flemons is native to sunny Arizona.
