Parsley Elementary Plans
Career Days for Third Grade Students
Parsley Elementary School has
invited parents to participate in career days for third grade
students. The career days will be held on Monday, June 2, 2008
and Tuesday, June 3, 2008, from 8:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in the
school's multi-purpose room each day.
Parents, approximately 14 each day, will discuss their chosen
career with all third grade classes. The parents will speak
about their careers for five minutes and then allow five minutes
for question and answer time. The parents will focus on the
following questions pertaining to their careers:
What does your job entail?
How are all academics used?
How are cooperation, staying on task, neatness, self-control,
following directions and being prepared important for your job
performance?
Why did you choose your career?
Who or what inspired you to choose your career?
Parsley hopes the career days will open the students' eyes and
minds to the connection between school experiences and careers.
For more information about career days, please contact Whitney
Tobin, teacher at Parsley Elementary, at (910) 790-2355 ext.
604.
