Williston Middle
School Sponsors Book Drive for Needy School in Africa
WHAT:
Eighth grade students in the
AVID program at Williston Middle School are sponsoring the book
drive, "One Brings One." The students are collecting gently-used
books for a Kindergarten-8th grade school in Ghana, Africa. The
book drive goal is 700 books. The students also hope to raise
global awareness about the needs of schools in other countries
and teach local students to value the resources that are easily
available to them at their schools.
WHEN:
Through Friday, May 1, 2009
Books can be dropped-off during school hours, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30
p.m.
