New Hanover High School Conducts Information Sessions
About Online Course Opportunities

In an effort to provide students with more rigorous and flexible curriculum opportunities, New Hanover County high schools are offering online courses through North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) and University of North Carolina Greensboro i-School. NCVPS provides state-approved honors and AP level courses in a virtual learning environment. The UNCG i-School program allows students to earn both high school and college credit through online instruction.

New Hanover High School will conduct two Parent/Student Information Sessions about NCVPS and UNCG i-School on Tuesday, August 12th at 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 13th at 4:00 p.m. in the New Hanover High School Library. NHHS Seniors and Juniors interested in registering for online courses in the fall or spring semesters must attend one of these informational sessions. Interested students and parents who are unable to attend one of these information sessions should schedule a meeting with their counselor to discuss registration for online courses.

For more information about online courses at New Hanover High School or the Parent/Student Information Sessions, contact Philip Sutton, Assistant Principal, at (910) 251-6100 ext. 220 or psutton@nhcs.net. For more specific information about NCVPS or UNCG i-School, go to www.ncvps.org or http://ischool.uncg.edu .
