New Hanover County Schools Hold Annual Open Houses

New Hanover County Schools has scheduled annual open houses for the 2008 -2009 school year. The open house schedules for the schools are as follows:

Pre-K Centers:
New Hanover County Pre-K Centers will have orientation meetings with families during staggered enrollment days, September 2 - 5, 2008. Teachers will contact families to set up home visits prior to school starting to ensure that children make a smooth transition into school. Home visits will be the week of August 25 - 29, 2008. Elementary Schools:
All elementary school open houses will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008, from 5 - 7 p.m.

Middle Schools: All middle school open houses will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Individual school schedules are as follows:

Murray Middle School:	5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Myrtle Grove Middle School:	"Drop In" Open House 6th Grade: Last Names A-L: 5:00 - 5:45 p.m.                 Last Names M-Z: 5:45 - 6:30 p.m. 7th & 8th Grade: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Noble Middle School:	3:30 - 5:00 p.m./6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Roland Grise Middle School:	6th Grade:  5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. 7th & 8th Grades:  6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Trask Middle School:	7th & 8th Grade: 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. 6th Grade: 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Virgo Middle School:	5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
Williston Middle School:	5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

High Schools: All high school open houses are scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2008. Designated times for each high school are as follows:

Ashley High School:	3:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Hoggard High School:	6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Laney High School:	5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
Mary. S. Mosely Performance Learning Center:	6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
New Hanover High School:	2:00 - 4:00 p.m./ 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Early College High Schools:

Isaac Bear Early College High School
Rising Juniors: July 30 & 31 UNC-W, Cameron School of Business Room 105 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Freshman Orientation: August 11 - 15, 2008 UNC-W, Watson School of Education Room 162 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Parent Orientation/Open House: Thursday, August 14, 2008 UNC-Wilmington, Watson School of Education Room 162 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Wilmington Early College High School
Thursday, August 7, 2008 4500 Blue Clay Road Applied Technology Building, Suite 234 Castle Hayne, NC 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
