NHCS Online Learning

The goal of online learning in New Hanover County Schools is to expand opportunities for students.  Middle and high schools now have access to over 150 online courses to help them individualize pathways for students. All online courses are free to students.

Through NCVPS, students have access to on-level, honors, Advanced Placement (AP), Occupational Course of Study (OCS) and credit recovery courses in a variety of content areas.

NCSSM provides distance learning opportunities for high school students to access advanced courses in the STEM and humanities related content areas.

ADVISEMENT FOR STUDENT ATHLETES:  The NCAA has very strict guidelines regarding credit for courses taken online.  Some online courses may not be approved by the NCAA.  Before enrolling in any online class, be sure to consult with your high school’s athletic director and your guidance counselor to determine if the online course that you are considering is approved for credit by the NCAA.
