     All people involved with Parsley must share the responsibility for creating and supporting a positive school environment.  The responsibility for discipline lies with us all - parents, staff, and students.  Inappropriate behavior which interrupts the instructional setting will not be allowed.  Policies, rules, and procedures relative to student conduct in New Hanover County Schools are distributed annually to students on their first day of school.  Please review these policies, rules, and procedures with your child.  In addition, at Parsley, the following general rules apply:

• Respect all people and property
• Follow directions of all adults
• Walk inside all buildings, on sidewalks, and in parking areas
• Use an inside voice when indoors
• Keep your hands and feet to yourself
• Maintain self control at all times

     It is a violation of North Carolina law to bring any weapon on school grounds.  This includes pocket knives.  Any incident of weapons at school must be reported to law enforcement.
