With summer vacation fast approaching, here are some ideas for extending and enriching learning during the summer.

Liberty bankingBank in School :  Students have the opportunity to make deposits or open a new account once a month.  This is a great opportunity for students to begin saving for the future.

Bank in School will return next school year!  Continue to save over the summer!

Patriot Kids by Lost and Found box

Lost and Found:  We stil have many items in our Lost and Found. Outerwear garments, such as hoodies, sweaters, and jackets that you may have lost can be found on a table in our cafeteria. Visit our Lost and Found page for more information.

Please write last name on label in garment so we can return if found.

red arrowWalking Club:  Students in grades K - 2 walk on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students in grades 3 -5 walk on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Parsley has e-books!  E-books are viewable on desktop computers, laptops, iPads and other WiFi-enabled tablets, and even smartphones (iPhones, Android, etc.).  Students may read these books by logging into Destiny.  To learn more, visit the Media Center Book Search page.

At the New Hanover County Council of PTA annual banquet on Thurs., Apr. 30, Mrs. Campbell earned the Tannis Nelson Outstanding School Volunteer Award.

starCongratulations to the following students who will be representing Parsley at the New Hanover County Battle of the Books on May 5:  Katelynn Bellamy, Grayson Borst, Lily Dahlgren, Niklas Karp, Ryan Langtry, Keira McWilliams, Coltrane Nevruz, Joshua Shackelford, and Regan Williams.  Good Luck!

starWe are proud to announce that Stacy Stone has been selected as our 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year.  Melissa Hawley is our Teacher Assistant of the Year.

starSeveral Parsley students performed well at the NHCS Science Fair.  Congratulations to Joshua Wilbur, Ria Kapoor, Reagan Williams and the team of Emily Foreman & Lilly Triemsta. 

Ria's and Reagan's projects have also been selected to advance to the Regional Science Fair at UNCW. Way to go, Patriot Scientists!


starCongratulations to Nicholas Karp, 4th grader in Mrs. Postemski's class, for winning Parsley's National Geographic Bee.
