     If you ever have any extra time and want to volunteer at Parsley, but don't have something specific planned to do, head to the Media Center!  The Media Center is a very busy place and Mrs. Williamson is always looking for help with shelving books!
      If you would like to volunteer at Parsley on a regular basis, please fill out the 2007-2008 Volunteer Interest Survey and return to the school.  The appropriate volunteer coordinator will contact you with volunteer opportunities based on your specified interests. Parsley Elementary loves their volunteers. When you visit, report to the office and sign in. New volunteers (and all visitors) receive an orange sticker. Established volunteers wear a blue volunteer button.

Don't forget to record all your hours... those at school and time you volunteer at home.

Welcome to Parsley Elementary's Volunteer Program! Parsley recognizes the importance of our volunteer program as a vital role in enhancing our school's curriculum, programs, and projects.

Here are just a few friendly reminders:

1. Please sign in. At the end of each month, we are required to calculate all volunteer hours. Volunteer hours not only include tutoring, special events, and classroom duties, but they are also counted for events such as PTA meetings, Coffees with the Principal, and volunteer breakfasts. Also, by signing in, we can keep track of who is in the building at all times for security and emergency purposes.
2. Please be sure to wear your Volunteer sticker/badge - this is very important for security reasons. This also helps identify you to other staff members and/or students who might need assistance.
