RAIN FOREST

Plodding heavily up the rough tree a Chameleon stopped once or twice to glimpse at me like a speedy bus making stops. Emerald and dewy knobby branches reached out to wave.  A bit of dim sunlight streaked through the tall treetops like doors opened a crack.  The line moved across my face every time obnoxious monkeys swung deftly vine to vine.  Gnats swarmed the air on that hot sweltering day with buzzing sounds as loud as ever.  A strange feeling caught me, I was quite used to busy streets to enormous skyscrapers towering above me. Yet, there were so many similarities just hard to find along the thick brush.  Way above my head trees stood instead of large buildings, light birds perched up on sturdy branches besides copper phone lines.  Exotic plants and colorful flowers made up for the massive number of cars  lining up and and down the chaotic highways.  Wonders were all around!

A Day In The Rain Forest

“Caw,Caw!” my  friend tried her best bird call to attract a tropical forest toucan. Luckily the exceptionally large bird came soaring to us. It was as beautiful as a model ready to walk down a runway. It perched gracefully and softly on an emerald, dew fallen branch. The amazing colors stood out with the extraordinary scenery like water color paint blending into a portrait. ”Do you think we could catch it?” I asked my best friend Colleen. But my thought was denied. The wonderful bird was so close I could almost hear my mom say yes to let me have him as a pet. Unfortunately the multicolored bird flew out into the wild, extremely wet rain forest.

Rainforest

Panting heavily I had just sped away from a hungry, scary lion that was trying to eat me. When I stopped I calmed down to see the amazing site of the beautiful rain forest. My mouth dropped when I saw a puffy, brown rabbit being squeezed to death by a boa constrictor; it was so sad . I had a smile on my face when I saw a hippopotamus in  a distant lake about three blocks from the interesting rain forest . I sped as fast as I could  because a hippo is my favorite  animal. When I got there I was amazed because I saw the mother hippo grooming her calf. The calf was grayish, black with tiny teeth. I saw a red and black snake about to poison the little hippo but I jumped in the lake and quickly stomped on  it  with all my  might.

The Rain Forest

Ka-kaw! Ka-kaw! That mocking bird’s giving me a migraine! "Stop," I yelled, while rubbing my forehead. That made him lift off, flap his wings, and slap me in the face! That really didn’t help my migraine, I thought to myself.  Why am I complaining? I’m the one who won the adventure. Oooohhh! It’s so majestic and beautiful out here, not to mention wet! Look at all those colorful birds, toucans, mockingbirds , and some I can't even name.  There must be fifteen thousand graceful birds in the Amazon forest.  Not to mention the endangered species like tapirs, tigers , and gorillas. Gorillas are so smart, they can peal ripe sun-yellow bananas, can open chocolate brown walnuts, and they have opposable thumbs. Aaaahhh! The wilderness so mysterious but yet so beautiful.

My Bird in the Rain Rorest

Approaching the rain forest I noticed a yellow belly black blow perched up on a chocolate brown vine. The bird was oh so very fluffy like cotton balls you use to take finger nail polish off with. Something about him (or her) reminds me of all the fluffy things I have ever seen. It was like watching “ The Chronicles of Narnia” and then whenever you hear the word Narnia you think of that one movie. The bird was very independent because whenever another bird would fly by it would duck down and hide just as ladies would do with their tea in the old days. I had never seen a bird act this way before. Never speaking, or getting out of it’s nest, kind of like the old lady who lived in a shoe. I never noticed that birds could be so distinct and observant. Out of all the attitudes that they could choose from,  the choose to be independent and over protective. It was like their character was already picked out for them, kind of like in school when your desk is already picked out for you. Being a bird would be so boring for me because you almost do nothing.

The Wonder of the Rain Forest

I observed the beauty of mother nature as I was meandering in the wilderness of the enormous forest. I realized that something was tracking me down, so I scurried as fast as I could to find shelter. All of a sudden an enormous grizzly bear blocked my way from retreating out of the forest! I scrambled towards the opposite direction, but the deadly bear was right behind me! I screamed at the top of my lungs when five other grizzly bears as I was skipping towards my house.ears were coming from every direction! Right when they were going to attack, a brave horse galloped into my direction. I leaped onto its sturdy back, and he galloped right through the creepy bears. When we finally reached our destination, I dismounted the incredible stallion , and I waved good-bye as I was skipping towards my house.
