Senator Richard Burr to Visit New Hanover High School

WHAT:
United States Senator Richard Burr (North Carolina) will visit New Hanover High School to address the newly elected Student Government Association officers, civics and economics students, and special guests visiting this week from Ukraine. The Senator's visit coincides with the current curriculum being taught in the school's civics and economics classes. "We're very excited about Senator Burr's visit, especially in light of the fact we are hosting students and teachers from Ukraine this week. This is a great opportunity for students and our guests from Eastern Europe to learn first-hand how the Senate has evolved and works today," said Principal Todd Finn.
