Snipes Academy of Arts & Design Students
to be Honored by Neighborhood Group, Friends of Snipes

WHAT:
Snipes Academy of Arts & Design students will attend a reception that is being held in their honor by the neighborhood group, Friends of Snipes. The special gathering will be at the Kenan House, home of University of North Carolina – Wilmington Chancellor Gary L. Miller, and wife, Mrs. Georgia Miller.

Two students, a boy and a girl, from each third, fourth and fifth grade classroom have been selected to attend the reception for their outstanding academics and positive behavior throughout the 2012-2013 school year. The students, along with Snipes Academy Principal Cindy Talbert, Assistant Principal Teresa Conoly and Snipes teachers, will walk a few blocks through the surrounding neighborhood to the Kenan House. During the reception, a UNC-Wilmington senior and pianist will perform for the Snipes students and speak to them about his education and career goals.
