We are utilizing a reading program at our school called Accelerated Reader. This is a program designed to encourage students to read independently and increase their comprehension skills. Students receive points for each test taken according to the number of answers that are correct. You may be interested in visiting the Accelerated Reader Website by clicking on the link above. Students may take Accelerated Reader tests in the classrooms under the teacher's supervision. Please encourage your child to participate in a wonderful reading program!!!
The STAR reading test is administered on a computer to assess a student's reading level. Students are tested at least three times per school year to monitor the progress of the student. This also helps a student know which level books are appropriate for him/her.
