Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year at Roland Grise.  We look forward to our rising 6th graders attending middle school, all redistricted students, and our returning students.  The school is clean, freshly painted in many areas, and ready for your return.

Roland Grise  has received their ABC Growth Report and AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress Report)  results by subgroup and our school performed very well.  We are a School Of Distinction with High Growth and are 85% proficient, as well as met 26 of 27 AYP target goals (96.3%) for math and reading.

The focus this year will be to use best teaching practices with research based support and link State Goals to District and School Plans.  Our expectations are to maintain open lines of communication, use data to drive our instruction, and provide a rigorous curriculum for all students.  We need your involvement and support as we strive to do our best for all children.
I look forward to another year of continuing success for our school and students at Roland Grise.

Sincerely,

William Hatch
Principal
