·        Follows the NC Standard Course of Study K through 5.

·        Predominant instruction: Grade-level Academic Content Standards with Modified or Grade-level Academic Achievement Standards

·        Instructional focus: Grade-level academics and Replacement Behavior instruction

·        Likely state assessment: NC End-of-Grade Tests (with or without accommodation) or NCEXTEND2

·        Highly individualized Scientific Research-based instructional practices within the context of intensive Positive Behavioral Support

·        Social skills and replacement behavior instruction for students whose behaviors significantly interfere with the learning of themselves and others.
