FOR STUDENTS WITH AUTISM |

Our system strives to provide a continuum of services for students with diagnoses of High Functioning Autism or Asperger Syndrome. We believe that instruction should reflect a "braided" approach, utilizing a combination of methodologies to best meet the individualized learning needs of the student.
What are the Services Provided for Students with Autism ? Each school level (K-5, 6-8, 9-12) will have a number of options for serving that particular age student. Services range from consultative supports for the student in the regular classroom setting to direct instruction in a center-based program or self-contained setting.
Who determines the services? Each school in our system has a Student Support Team who, in conjunction with the parents, will review the child's IEP to assess the amount of support required to insure growth towards the child's goals and objectives.
