The mission of Sunset Park Elementary School is to use our

  • Pennies for Puppies Sunset Park Sharks raised over $400 in the Pennies for Puppies campaign! This money will go towards Monty's Home which supports pet rescue and training of therapy dogs through their "Paw"sitive Partners program.   • The Kids on the Block The Kids on the Block The "Kids" vividly and effectively present relationships between people, both with and without disabilities, through frank and often, humorous communication of facts and feelings between the puppet characters and the audience. The Kids on the Block help children feel positive about themselves, accept individual differences, and learn valuable personal skills.
  • Kindness counts Kindness counts Our 2nd and 3rd Graders paying close attention to "The Kids on the Block" a puppet show presented by the Assistance League of Greater Wilmington. They educated our students on different physical and learning disabilities and how to be kind to new students. Leaving our SHARKS with a message that ,"Kindness counts."
