Virgo has about 20 students involved in a mentoring program called METAL. This is a cooperative effort between UNCW, GE, and Virgo. |

8th Graders went on a field trip to Airlie Gardens where they gained an understanding about the local water shed and water quality. Below they are dipping nets in a tidal creek and looking for macroorganisms. |
