Bradley Creek’s Teresa Willetts Named 2018 Exceptional Children’s Teacher of Excellence


Teresa Willetts, an Intensive Academic and Behavior Supports program teacher at Bradley Creek Elementary School, has been named New Hanover County’s 2018 Exceptional Children's Teacher of Excellence by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI). Ms. Willetts will be recognized on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at a banquet and awards ceremony as part of the annual Conference on Exceptional Children, to be held at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro.

Ms. Willetts is in her twenty-second year of teaching with NHCS and has become a leader among her peers in Bradley Creek as well as across the district. According to Principal Lauren Kefalonitis, Ms. Willetts is always willing to assist classroom teachers, administration, and all students no matter their identification or grade level. She is an advocate for all students and is a model of student support and school advocacy.
