New Hanover County Schools Named NC.CodeKids Leadership District

New Hanover County Schools has strongly embedded computer science and coding education programs within the district. With over half of NHCS elementary schools participating in Computer Science and Family Learning programs the district has been identified as an NC.CodeKids Leadership District. Elementary schools participating include:

In addition to participating in Computer Science Education Week December 5, 2019- December 15, 2019, these schools host coding, STEM, and Computer Science family events and programs throughout the whole year. These events take place during the school day, are in the form of take-home activities, and happen after school.
