New Hanover County Schools will host a business fair for minority and women-owned business leaders on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at New Hanover County’s Board of Education Center, located at 1805 South 13th Street. District leaders from Facility Planning and Construction, Maintenance Operations, Transportation, Child Nutrition, Technology and Purchasing departments will be available to answer questions about their specific divisions.
Guests will learn about bidding opportunities on service and purchasing contracts with the school district. Information will be provided on bidding requirements and procedures by the participating departments. A representative from the NC Department of Administration will share information on the advantages of becoming a HUB-certified business and the documentation required for the application process. Attendees will benefit from networking opportunities to highlight their business with district leaders and other industry professionals.
