NHCS Offers Transition Fair on October 30th for Parents and Students with Special Needs

The New Hanover County Schools Transition Advisory Team will hold the 2018 Transition Fair on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, for parents and students with disabilities and special needs. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Cape Fear Community College Union Station, located at 502 North Front Street. Admission is free and no registration is required. 

The Transition Fair will feature agencies and community supports for families with students preschool through high school. Wilmington area agencies and employers will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to speak with students and parents. Evening events start at 4:30 p.m., with agencies available to speak with students and parents until 7:00 p.m. Students from Career Readiness Academy at Mosley Performance Learning Center, Ashley, Hoggard, Laney, and New Hanover High Schools will be given the opportunity to take part in the fair during the day.
