Bradley Creek Elementary has received a $5,000 grant from Trillium Health as one of the first five schools to have fifty percent of their staff register and complete two of the qualifying courses on the SafeSchoolsHealthyKidsNC.org learning portal.
The portal provides teachers and other school employees with immediate, web-based access to evidence-based practice (EBP) models, resources, and materials that are particularly relevant with school closings and the impacts of the pandemic .
Specific programs include:
Modular Approach to Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems
Anger Management for Children and Youth
Supporting Children who have been Bullied
Recognizing Warning Signs of Children in Distress
With the additional funding, Bradley Creek is able to purchase a variety of instructional resources to support remote learning and school improvement goals. Trillium Health will provide the "big check" on Wednesday, October 7 at 10:30 am to the school.
