School Health Advisory Council
New Hanover County Schools envisions health literate students, staff, and community members who are committed to social, emotional and physical long-term lifestyle choices.
In accordance with NHCS Board Policy 6140, New Hanover County Schools Health Advisory Council (SHAC) meets regularly to increase awareness of NHCS programs and policies that address the health and well-being of students, staff, and community members. Members of SHAC represent the ten components of the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model.
