This past weekend students and teachers from across NHCS gathered at UNCW for the North Carolina Band Association's (NCBA) All District Band Concert. We would like to congratulate Hoggard Band Director, Mr. Rod Reed for receiving the NCBA Eastern District Award of Excellence for 2022. Starting in 1998, Mr. Reed has been teaching band at Hoggard for nearly 24 years. His band program has a consistent pattern of excellence, earning multiple grand championships at Marching Band competitions and regularly earning Excellent and Superior Ratings at Concert Band MPA. Mr. Reed currently serves as the HHS Arts Department chair, the NHCS High School All-County Band chair, and the NCBA Eastern District Secretary.

Congratulations to all of our middle and high school band students who participated in the All-district Honor Band Clinic this past weekend at UNCW. We are proud of all of our student who auditioned and those who qualified for the prestigious event.
